Yeah, these are oddly entertaining as hell. Thanks for this gem

I dare not show this channel to my sons. It’s a diabolical combination that links extreme curiosity to their garbage guts. *As I keep watching…*

Ha! And then, for bare basics, there’s plumpy’nut:

  4. Kevin says:

Believe it or not, Plumpy’Nut was inspiration for me when my boys were raiding the fridge between meals.

They get two jars of Pic’s peanut butter per week, which they consume by using carrot spears as edible spoons.

We’d rather have conventional peanuts from Australia than “organic” ones from China.

Thanks for the link and the kid-refueling idea. Found some local outlets in Australia. I assume they get their nuts from these guys: http://www.pca.com.au/products

Kingaroy in QLD is where a lot of cotton is grown and cotton uses 25% of the worlds pesticides. Chinese peanuts are dodgy as is most food from there however, I see Ceres Organics peanut butter is made using Argentinian peanuts & comes in at around $24 – $27/2kg tub. But .. Argentina grows huge amounts of GE soy so there is the issue of the accompanying glyphosate. We’re stuffed whatever way !

  7. Kevin says:

Yes, the Ceres peanut butter was the organic peanut butter I was referring to above. If you look closely at the label, the origin is either China or Argentina.

It says the same on the website:

    https://www.ceres.co.nz/products/grocery/ceres-organics/nut-seed-butters/organic-peanut-butter-smooth-original/

    “Origin
Product of NZ from local and imported (China/Argentina) ingredients ”

We’re in a buying co-op for Ceres and we keep letting them know: We’re not buying food from China.

In other news, latest recall on Chinese berries:
