Via: Daily Mail:

At least one person is dead after a driver intentionally plowed into a group of anti-fascist protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, following violent clashes that erupted between white nationalists and activists on Saturday.

James Alex Fields Jr, of Maumee, Ohio, is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail. He was charged with second-degree murder.

Video of the Dodge Challenger, which is registered to Fields, showed the driver accelerating into the crowd throwing bodies into the air as people scream before reversing at high speed.

The incident killed a 32-year-old woman, whose identity has not been released by authorities pending her family’s notification.

Fields was apprehended and arrested a few blocks away from the bloody scene.

    Nobody sees it?

Morbid curiosity bade me scan the gallery. Witnessed the ongoing polarization of American society. Saw pictures of bodies flying. Not sure what I’m supposed to be seeing… did you spot evidence of tomfoolery with an image, or are you commenting on the nature of the polarizing process in the copy?

Lot of photos. Want to give us a clue?

Look at the license plate on the suspect’s car.

I wish I didn’t notice those. I know it’s nonsense, but it’s what happens when you have a numerologist for a mother.

Military records show that Mr. Fields entered the Army on Aug. 18, 2015, around the time his mother wrote on Facebook that he had left for boot camp. Less than four months later, on Dec. 11, his period of active duty concluded. It was not immediately clear why he left the military.

11-11. All clear. His extremely short stint in the Army could simply indicate that he was a) a serious “bag of rocks” (an idiot likely to get others killed and not worth training) and/or b) physically and/or mentally unsuited to the job (complete nut job, chronically insubordinate, unable to complete physical requirements). The odds of his being a contemporary Manchurian, meaning a modern MK-Ultra tool, seems unlikely here — though certainly not impossible.

  6. Dennis says:

I’d noted the license plate as unusual, but don’t know enough about numerology to have tied it in with anything.

All I see is a bunch of Soros-funded Marxist antifa scum, who showed up there so they could physically shut down people exercising Free Speech to protest the city taking down a Robert E. Lee statue, getting their worthless asses run over.

  8. Miraculix says:

The meta-irony is truly rich & creamy. Protesters protesting others protesters protesting.

Funny thing, I led a private battlefield tour with the family of a soldier killed here in Europe during WW2 back in July. A member of the group is an attorney in the area and a VMI grad directly involved with the civic fight to keep the statue in place.

NOT because he supports slavery, white supremacists, Hitler, Nazi ideology or any of the other causes *automatically* attributed to anyone with such thoughts by the media. We both felt a FAR more educational approach would be to ADD signage better explaining the statue’s context.

Our mutual thoughts on the matter were pretty straight-forward, if FAR too subtle for the many — and it starts with questions : will they also be taking down the statue of Albert Pike in Washington D.C.?

How is tearing down a statue of General Lee because you don’t like the man’s history ANY different from extremists in Asia destroying antiquity from earlier cultures that doesn’t jive with the particular beliefs in fashion today?

    Quotations by General Lee:

“There are few, I believe, in this enlightened age, who will not acknowledge that slavery as an institution is a moral and political evil.”

“There is a terrible war coming, and these young men who have never seen war cannot wait for it to happen, but I tell you, I wish that I owned every slave in the South, for I would free them all to avoid this war.”

How prescient Gen. Lee was —

“The consolidation of the states into one vast empire, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of ruin which has overwhelmed all that preceded it.”

Why historical statues should be free from vandalism –

“A nation which does not remember what it was yesterday does not know where it is today.”

I think it’s pretty clear that the violence was very disproportionately on the white nationalist side (which isn’t exactly surprising coming from people who march in torchlight parades and chant Third-Reich era slogans such as “blood and soil”), but there is no doubt that there were left-wing extremists who showed up in Charlottesvile also looking for a fight. However, try pointing this out to the identitarian-multiculturalist left and you will be screamed at in a way that will make you wonder what sort of childhood these folks had.

Uniting against neo-nazi violence should be something almost everybody should be able to unite around, but the authoritarian left is driving people away from even that. This makes me very sad and very anxious about the future of this country.
