Cryptogon Reader Affiliate Purchase (at Nitro-Pak)
October 13th, 2009Someone out there has made what amounts to an astonishing purchase at one of Cryptogon’s affiliates.
First of all, thank you. Second: Do you know about something specific that’s headed down the track?
Now, I’m sure this person knows who he or she is and the purchase that I’m referring to in this post. If you’re that person and feel like relating any information that might be of assistance to people out in Cryptogon land, I’d like to hear from you.
If you would like to check in, please identify yourself by stating the Cryptogon affiliate in question and the dollar amount of your order. I’m only asking you to provide those details so I know that you’re the one who made the purchase. Feel free to use a throw away email (gmail, yahoo, etc) if you like. Anything that you tell me would be kept between us by default (and whichever intelligence agencies are monitoring the emails). My public key is here, just in case. I understand if you don’t want to talk about this to me or anyone else. I’m just curious.
To everyone else, I’ll give this person a day or so to respond, or not, then I’ll update the Support list as usual.
I hope this doesn’t sound too woowoo. Don’t think that it’s a personal submarine or a 300 foot high jumbotron HDTV, etc. Once I tell you, you’ll probably wonder what all the fuss was about. But there aren’t many people thinking like this person. That’s why I’m curious to know if he or she has any information to share.
UPDATE: The Reader Emailed Me
The affiliate order in question was with Nitro-Pak. The order was for $7,989 worth of supplies. Cryptogon received a commission of $798.90.
I’ll just post the email I received, minus the Cryptogon reader’s name and email address, of course.
This speaks for itself:
Kevin,
reference: order to Nitro-Pak in the amount of $7,989.00.
I am answering your question out of respect for you, and the fact that you asked, not because I have some vital information to pass along.
No, I don’t know anything in the offing, as in being privy to some great secret. The information upon which I base my decisions is all publicly available. However, like everyone else, I am selective in what I pay attention to, and whose judgments and commentary I listen to and consider.
David Icke had a nice metaphor about how far outside the city limits of conventional viewpoints various people choose to pitch their tents. In each case of a person “well out there”, he will recognize that the people closer in to town are sadly naive. But there will be others who have pitched tents even further out. And the man says, “Those guys further out have gone crazy. The situation is not as wild as they say.”
I can testify to having repeatedly packed up my campsite and shifted yet further out. Folks that at first I felt were too wild now seem to make a lot of sense to me. The guys that make the most sense to me are waving all kinds of red flags and foreseeing big events soon. And really, as I keep reminding myself: we are already way into the collapse of our civilization. Stupendous bankruptcies and equivalent operations have already happened. Deficits beyond human comprehension are calmly admitted by the authorities. Our public institutions are corrupted beyond redemption. I don’t need to list this stuff for Cryptogon readers.
Now, as to the order I placed, my subjective experience is that it just developed totally naturally. I started with the fear that the wealth stored in my retirement plan was almost certainly doomed to destruction. Even with the degree of flexibility built into the plan — and there really is some — there was no investment into which I could divert the funds that seemed a credible place.
A few years back I did very well with the portion in foreign based mutual funds. Last couple of years, I was very disproportionately into PIMCO bond funds, and that has at least not gone down.
But of late, it is hard to place any faith in theoretically paper, but really totally digital wealth, being stored and managed by Wall Street firms. I pulled a substantial amount out of the account. Time to get local and get real. Let’s think about food.
I remembered you were an affiliate of Nitro-Pak, so I simply started there. And after perusing their offerings, and having some substantial funds to invest, there was this perfectly wonderful jump start on comprehensive crisis preparedness.
One of my sons, college aged, is way further out there in passionate preparedness. He participates actively on web sites dedicated to survival, and such matters. At first he was skeptical about the order I was about to place, and if only for family peace, I held off placing the order until he had vetted it by comparing the contents and costs with other offerings from other suppliers. He gave it his seal of approval. It really is a very good deal in terms of the contents, quality, coverage, and cost. And this contains not just food, but many other thoughtful additions. It is really comprehensive.
So if you did not have much in the line of crisis preparedness, but could pry loose some substantial money, this provides a great, quick jump start on the preparation process.
Nitro-Pak is very responsive. I immediately started getting emails with confirmation details. Very impressive response. We just received the bulk of the shipment. Some special sized items are being shipped separately, and one item is back ordered. The shipment arrived in pristine condition. I recommend these guys.
As for this message, you can use whatever you want from it, but I do not want you to give out my name or email address.
Warmest regards,
[Sender’s Name Kept Private]

Hey K, Cybele here.
Not to beg an issue, but I Have bought a bunch of stuff from Nitro-Pak over the years through Cryptogon and wanted to ensure you got the commish. If you would be a dear and gimme a heads up about it, I’d appreciate it.
Hi Cybele,
I’m able to check the the total sale and the commission generated. It doesn’t give me any personal information about who bought what. If you’re curious as to whether commissions went through, I can look them up if you send me the dates and order totals.
Feel free to use email, if you like, for slightly more privacy than this. 😉
The reason I mentioned this one in particular was simply because it was a single shot—almost double the size of the previous record NitroPak sale for Cryptogon.
“…Once I tell you, you’ll probably wonder
what all the fuss was about….
Yep.
“…But there aren’t many people thinking
like this person…”
“aren’t many…like this”? Perhaps not in absolute
terms. But plenty more than these words of
your indicate. There are a good number of
us, especially compared to, say, three
years ago. Blogger, Know Thy Audience.
I’ve spent this much the past 18 months (easily)
dribbling in various forms of preparedness. There
are others doing the same amount. ( I guess
we’re not the types to appear on ABCNNMESSNBC
or PrisonPlanet screeching about it.)
Thanks for providing a place for us to
rest our eyes.
thanks to the person who wrote the letter above.
it’s great to hear someone’s carefully considered perspective on this. i will bear it in mind when making my own decisions.
@dagobaz – hi ya.
????
You’ve always blown my mind with your genoristy to Cryptogon. Numerous persons, like Pookie (always better than me- sorry pook – dya think in another life?) have contributed to cryptogon more than I, so why worry about the latest and greatest? You are a long run goddess re Cryptogon.
Sounds like you are a good she/man. I support your effort to protect your tribe, as you should.
Until we meet again.
