ADM: The Fix Is In

September 22nd, 2009

Via: This American Life:

We hear from Kurt Eichenwald, whose book The Informant is about the price fixing conspiracy at the food company ADM, Archer Daniels Midland, and the executive who cooperated with the FBI in recording over 250 hours of secret video and audio tapes, probably the most remarkable videotapes ever made of an American company in the middle of a criminal act.

    Gosh almighty.
I wish I had the hour to listen/watch this program. This American Life is an excellent radio program. I just can’t ever listen on weekends. Ira Glass is so tongue in cheek.
I can’t believe NPR lets him go on.
But if this AML is discussing AMD and price fixing, hee hah.
I’ll give some dedicated time to listen.
My guess is that AMD has entered into contracts with Monsanto re using their GMO seeds.
And maybe now AMD realizes that Monsanto seeds
totally SUCK. And they are pissed.
Can’t exactly monopolize the food supply when you realize that you’ve just been HAD buy purchasing Terminator seed.
Makes me wonder whether all my joking above isn’t true. Where does AMD get its seed?

This one is REALLY worth the time.

I’ve also enjoyed This American Life for years. Joe Frank is great, too:

Although, I’ve probably only heard about 2% Joe Frank’s material, An Enterprising Man is my favorite. HAHAHA
