Army Mortuary Unit Deploys to Middle East

More than 40 soldiers from Fort Lee are deploying to Kuwait and Afghanistan.

Officials at the Army base near Petersburg say the soldiers from the 111th Quartermaster Company left Wednesday for an at least six-month deployment.

The soldiers are part of one of the Army’s only two active duty mortuary affairs units.

    Let’s see…hmmm..a whole bunch of army guys who are trained in processing dead U.S. soldiers are being sent to two locations in the Middle East. What on earth could this mean? I’m gonna take a totally wild guess and say that they’re expecting a lot of new dead soldiers. I know, there are those who might say I RAN into that conclusion too quickly. Must be the wine I s’pose…..
