No, Really: Bin Laden Buried at Sea

Via: AP:

A U.S. official says Osama bin Laden has been buried at sea.

After bin Laden was killed in a raid by U.S. forces in Pakistan, senior administration officials said the body would be handled according to Islamic practice and tradition. That practice calls for the body to be buried within 24 hours, the official said. Finding a country willing to accept the remains of the world’s most wanted terrorist would have been difficult, the official said. So the U.S. decided to bury him at sea.

The official, who spoke Monday on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive national security matters, did not immediately say where that occurred.

I’m away from home, so, I’ll just quickly open this thread in case anyone wants to unburden themselves.

I don’t have a lot to say on this, other than:

‘Use it if you got it, boys, this is it.’

I always wondered what it would take for them to wheel his corpse out of cold storage.

It amazes me that anyone still thinks Bin Laden is important any more, seeing as how the groups for which he is claimed to have been a figurehead are well distributed and well entrenched around the globe.

Ok, so…. who will be the next ‘face of evil’? Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? They apparently especially dislike him due to his supposed belief in the Twelfth Imam apocalyptic stuff. But where is our candidate for Public Enemy #1? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-13250309

This planet just gets stranger every day, bless it.

    Dear Jesus-

I am once again writing to you to request that your abundant mercy, grace and favor be poured out upon your unworthy servant- as well as fulfillment of my earlier request for my own planet.

As a reminder that you don’t need, I specifically asked for a virgin uninhabited earth-like planet in a galaxy on the opposite side of the center of the big bang in a cell-phone-dead-zone, along with one way transportation to such planet at your earliest possible convenience.

I’m simply tired of those that continually fall for psyops like the developing “I Shot Bin Laden” plot that has less credibility than a J.R Ewing charitable fund raiser for widows and orphans.

    Thanks in advance-

    steve

If Sephanopoulos, Amanpour and CNN wagged that dog any harder, it’s tail would break off.

the breathless bullshit in the Guardian was… utterly bizarre. i don’t think a James Bond parody could parody this stuff. it’s just too much of a parody to begin with. in the last 10 years the move to “total caricature overdrive” must mean something…

    hohoho i wonder what?!

I was driving through Kaitaia with Becky, my two sons and a half a steer worth of homekilled beast in our sub-compact car when the news went out over the radio. It seemed like every absurdity I’d ever heard about Bin Laden was being read out as bullet points.

I asked Bex, “Have you ever heard such happy horse S H I T in your life?” (‘Shit,’ spelled out, because she has trained me not to swear in front of the children. It won’t be long before Owen he knows what I’m spelling…)

When they mentioned the crowds of people in front of the White House, having their Two Minutes Hate, we looked at each other with a sense of, “This can’t be happening.”

i just saw your update. after big LOLs, it’s just more “wow”. i mean, can’t they get third-rate hollywood scriptwriters to churn this shit out, insead of the seventh-rate ones they are using now? ffs, they know that more than 75% of the US public will swallow all of this whole no matter what garbage they wheel out, so it is neither here nor there. Kafka and Lewis Carol will be having a right old laugh.

    How convenient!
Bin Laden will be buried within 24 hours. And not only that he will be burried at sea just to make sure no one ever try to identify the remains… oops I mean to make sure It is handled according to Islamic practice and tradition.

  8. Changewave says:

The only thing that surprises me about this charade is the timing. What are they trying to accomplish, now?

Diverting sheeple’s attention from what in particular? An exercise in conditioning more hate?

Or is it a setup for a “revenge for the death of Bin Laden” false flag attack down the road? At some convenient moment, or, say 10th anniversary of 9 11?

  9. dagobaz says:

lemme make sure i got this straight:

we are to believe that obama is a muslim, because he will not release his long-form birth certificate.

we are also to believe that “special forces” (undertakers, maybe ?) jusat killed bin laden?

and then, we are also to believe that the us government, in sensitivity to the dear departed’ s religion rather than stage a press conference / trophy display buried the body at sea ?

I mean … c’mon mon! just how dumb do these people believe we are ???

As this was being blasted from one end of the TV station spectrum to the other all night last night I asked my mother, “So, this means it’s over, right, the War on Terror. We got the baddie and it’s over. We can bring all the troops home now, right.” She gave me that deadpan look, like how could you possibly believe what you are saying, then said, “Of course not. There are 200 bin Ladens willing to fill his shoes just waiting in line.”

The chanting and anthem singing in front of the WH was too much for me to bear and I have not turned the teevee back on since. Thanks for reminding me of the Two Minutes Hate, couldn’t have related it better.

The chanting and anthem singing in front of the WH was too much for me to bear and I have not turned the teevee back on since.

This is easily the blackest propaganda event since the Saddam-Hussein-Has-WMDs days.

…and with not even a pretense of any attempt to capture him to stand trial…

the first i’d heard of the word ‘assassination’ in connection to this was in a statement from Hamas. that that one word was even necessary for me to even recall any sense of due process with regard to bin laden shamed me, sad to say, no matter how few the seconds between hearing the news and reading that Hamas statement. for a great many on the other side of the world, there is no such lag or lapse.

obama said in his campaign killing OBL was objective #1 and i recall my surprise at the blunt unequivocation of the language.

so now the political capital of both obama and osama are upped, and the security hammer falls heavier. do i feel more secure? of course not, just the opposite and very much so.

they never get it, they just never get it; yankee go home means get the eff out and once and for all.

  13. j.biddy says:

I hope this doesn’t put me too far out there, but here’s some info cross-referenced from another one of my favorite websites that I think many of you may find symbolically appealing or revealing considering OBL’s interrelations with CIA/MI6/ISI/Mossad…

While the Beltane Fire Festival is marking the victory of the Sun, Obama is celebrating victory over Osama in an epic “firestorm” that took the villain’s left eye. Connections with the Wicker Man are also explored.

Astute observers may also recall this in the news recently: WikiLeaks reveals Al Qaeda… vowed ‘nuclear hellstorm’ tied to bin Laden.

I remember watching the Benazir Bhutto video here at Cryptogon. They shut her up didn’t they? Another beautiful spirit snuffed out for being a truth teller.
Methinks this is another of the U.S. govmint and its owners in the “media” creating a diversion. I agree with Changewave – what is the real news that is really occuring that these morons who control the information for so many humans- that this OBL is a subterfuge for?
Could it be the further meltdown in Japan? The anniversary of Chernobyl? Or is it General Electric not liking that their motto cannot be “we bring all things to light.” Yeah right.
Can’t watch 2 Minutes of Hate because WRH has been hacked and is seized up. That’s another strange coinkeydink. D’ya think?

Wouldn’t be surprised, though I also wouldn’t be surprised if their servers genuinely couldn’t handle the traffic from the insane amount of links to their OBL-alrady-dead and fake photo links which they’ve maintained for some time.
