2024 U.S. Presidential Election Open Thread

November 5th, 2024

Do you feel a need to write something down as the crescendo approaches?

Let it rip.

All I know, for sure, is that America is going to get Lockheed Martin for president. Again.

It’s been almost impossible to submit a comment here on Cryptogon over the last week–just receive a “Forbidden!” notice.

I recommend the Joe Rogan/ Elon Musk interview from yesterday—particularly for Elon’s elaboration on why and what it meant for him to buy Twitter, and why he feels this will be the last “real” election in the US if Harris/Walz gets installed into office and They continue to fly hundreds of thousands of “refugees” into the swing states.

This rather purple-prose-rich article on Rt.com (the website associated with the “Russia Today” television network) does a decent job of describing why so many people seem to be holding their proverbial breath over the outcome of this election.

I’m someone who hasn’t voted in 25 years give or take but I think that’s about right (Bush v. Gore I believe). I decided to engage this time, knowing full well living where I live that it won’t hurt or help who I vote for. Knowing full well it more than likely doesn’t matter considering what we here who visit your site are fully aware of: that there’s no solution to the overall system that we are enmeshed in for the better part of our lives. But some of the things that have happened over the last several months gave me a sliver of hope that some shift could be happening, as minor as it might be.

The more people wake up that they’re being lied to, the more light shone on the woke ideology, the forever wars, the media lies & obfuscation, the better in the long run for the world, not just the US. But as slow a build as it’s been to get here, it’ll take time move the needle back to any semblance of sanity, and free thinking individuals not led by media execs & oligarchical families entrenched in the hierarchies of establishment media, politics, religion, et al.

So many have said to me, both left & right, how they fear they will be rounded up and un alived, or whatever insane thinking they’ve had. They still live in a world where the tv tells them to be scared and they believe it. We are like the matrix, I have been unplugged, yet I still enter it in order to go about life, hoping that maybe I can help unplug a few others. That’s it, that’s what I try and do. I don’t engage with anyone that’s not ready to hear what I might have to say. But the one’s willing to listen, then maybe I get the chance to wake that person up to the realities of what’s really behind the curtain. It’s ugly, and scary, but it’s the truth, and that’s all anyone should want to hear.

The election is another circus sideshow to keep us occupied, like football, baseball, reality tv, etc. I don’t go in doe eyed thinking that what I did changes the future of the country. It was just time for me say hey, FU we see you, and those of us who don’t feel like we’ve been represented know what your up to. And that’s it.

Very well said, cgroove. It amazes me that the Trump Derangement Syndrome crowd hasn’t yet figured out that if it weren’t for all their shrieking, arm-flailing, hysterical emotion around Trump, the man would be a minor historical footnote today and remain so forevermore. But their hysteria has made sure that at the very least, electing Trump will be a way for the rest of the country to say to these people, “Shut up! We don’t like you, and we don’t care what you think, especially after the Covid fiasco and trying to force the death-jab on everybody!”

“In a stunning video brought to public attention by National Review, Brian Lozenski, a leading authority on critical race theory who is Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s most important education adviser, calls explicitly for the ‘overthrow’ of America.”

Lozenski: “The first tenet of critical race theory is that the United States as constructed is irreversibly racist. So if the nation-state as constructed is irreversibly racist, then it must be done with. It must be overthrown. And so we can’t be like, ‘Oh, no, critical race theory is just about telling our stories, and diversity.’ It’s not about that. It’s about overthrow. It’s insurgent. And we need to be, I think, more honest with that. …

“You can’t be a critical race theorist and be pro-U.S.”

You’re not supposed to be allowed to advocate the overthrow of the US and remain out of jail:

“Title 18 USC Ch. 115: TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES
    §2385. Advocating overthrow of Government
Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government; or… Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.”

Not long ago, a NC political candidate, Robinson, also called for the overthrow of the US. No response from govt. Now there’s Lozinski, who teaches people they must do it. (There must be plenty more traitors out there, not being quoted by the press.) But our original, Constitutional govt has already been overthrown, slowly over decades if not centuries. Is today’s rigged election the coup de grace, or will they let Trump cool us down a bit for a few years before their final strike?

CRT is an absurd concept disproven both by science in comparisons of the inherited abilities of races/ethnic groups and by their accomplishments and general behavior over the past 150 years. Lozinski and Robinson are black. Blacks rate lowest on those two scales. Perhaps their illogic and destructive urges are inspired by jealousy and resentment of white American abilities and accomplishments, with CRT merely being the justification somebody invented to turn them against us and promise them greater success in our culture than is actually possible for them, as DEI has shown. (As my black friends who didn’t fall for CRT, either, say, this viewpoint isn’t racist but realist.)

Yes, we do know what they’re up to. I hope enough of us continue to resist.

Sorry for the spacing in my comment; I hit send too soon.

  7. Loveandlight says:

That’s another that has really been grinding my gears lately, all the hating on young straight white males. Things are actually very difficult for this demographic right now because of the bilious invective continually directed at them by the promoters of woke ideology, and I can certainly imagine this group going to the polls today with the aim of giving an extended middle-finger salute to those who have been making hating on them into a national pastime. Prejudice is prejudice, and it’s ugly and not okay no matter who is perpetuating it against whom.

  8. NH says:

@loveandlight, if there are ever times that would permission purple-prose, I would say we’re in them.

@cgroove69, yes, well said. The .00001% that have a huge effect on the World have as a natural advantage the completely understandable and logical belief that the vast majority of people come to, that is, an average individual (one in eight billion) has at best a miniscule effect on things.

One primary avenue that shows this notion to be false, is the ripple effect coming off of a demonstration of courage. This could be courage witnessed or perceived by large numbers of people, or by individuals. Your own efforts to help people understand the situation, in the face of extreme propaganda and the 5th gen warfare, divide and conquer tactics that are being used against us, is an example of courage (and care). The ripple effects moving out from even the few people you’ve been able to reach are not miniscule.

Kevin, with his 20+ years of Cryptogon—think of the ripple effect of that.

I especially liked the end of your comment—“It was just time for me say hey, FU we see you, and those of us who don’t feel like we’ve been represented know what your up to. And that’s it.”
