Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has shifted his political stance towards libertarianism, expressing skepticism towards government regulation and social justice initiatives. Sources indicate he has distanced himself from left-leaning activism within Meta and is attempting to improve relations with former President Donald Trump, having made two phone calls to him this summer.

After praising Trump’s resilience following an assassination attempt, Zuckerberg expressed regret over past liberal actions, acknowledging that Meta’s censorship during the COVID-19 pandemic undermined public trust. He has hired Republican strategist Brian Baker to mend ties with the right and is reportedly trying to present Meta as a nonpartisan entity.
