GAZA: STRIKE ON HOSPITAL KILLS HUNDREDS

October 17th, 2023

Update: ‘No crater or obvious shrapnel pattern consistent with IAF JDAM/Mk80 series bombs visible.

RUSI aerial warfare analyst Justin Bronk agreed with Hagari’s statements.

He wrote: ‘No crater or obvious shrapnel pattern consistent with IAF JDAM/Mk80 series bombs visible.

‘Still not conclusive but if this is the extent of the damage I’d say an airstrike looks less likely than a rocket failure causing an explosion and fuel fire.’

Joel Rayburn, director of the American Center for Levant Studies, said: ‘There is no bomb crater here and nowhere near the destruction that would be required to cause (hundreds of deaths).

‘The initial reports of an airstrike that allegedly killed hundreds of people are not plausible given this physical scene.’

Former UN war crimes investigator Marc Garlasco concurred: ‘Whatever hit the hospital in Gaza it wasn’t an airstrike. Even the smallest JDAM leaves a 3m crater. Widespread surface damage and total lack of cratering inconsistent with an airstrike,’ he concluded.

Update: Who Struck The Hospital In Gaza?

Was the explosion possibly caused by a Palestinian missile?

Via: ZeroHedge:

That is consistent with GeoConfirmed’s analysis yesterday that a Palestinian missile had exploded in midair and one of the pieces fell on the hospital’s parking lot.

Via: Al Jazeera:

An Israeli air strike has hit al-Ahli hospital in Gaza City where thousands of civilians are seeking medical treatment and shelter from relentless attacks.

Gaza health ministry says at least 500 casualties in hospital blast. A UN-run school housing refugees also struck.

I thought I read just a couple of days ago that Israel had agreed not to attack designated refugee shelters. And nobody is ever supposed to hit hospitals. White phosphorous and cluster bombs are too horrible to even consider using, but there they are, in Gaza and in Ukraine also. All the past’s rules of honorable war are gone; today’s young people might not know there ever were any rules.

I admire the IDF reservists who reportedly have refused to fight in this dirty war. Maybe humanity is waking up a little bit more.

Is there any way to put effective pressure on the highest-level string-pullers, to alter their hell-bent WW111 trajectory?

What about a leak of the coordinates for some of their primary underground facilities? Are these separate from the DUMB’s – deep underground military bases?

Scott Ritter hosted for the first time George Galloway’s Mother of All Talk Shows yesterday and responding to a Palestinian calling in, stated the circumstances and blast pattern of the hospital strike line up with a strike from an Israeli M27 artillery system. At timestamp 1:00:45

Scott Ritter has updated his theory–an Israeli Hermes 450 drone, which carries up to four rocket–at minute 14:30:

Retired CIA intelligence officer Larry Johnson:

“I am now ready to offer my opinion. I believe the hospital parking area was struck by an Israeli munition, most likely a Hellfire launched from a drone. A friend with expertise in this area passed this on:

An MQ-9 carrying thermobaric versions of the hellfire missile (something we’ve supplied to Israel) is very possible. That particular version of the missile (AGM-114N) provides a particularly nasty thermobaric/incendiary blast that was originally designed to be skipped/or detonated at the mouth of a cave opening and burn out all the oxygen (suffocating the inhabitants further down the tunnel).”

There is video of the missile attack imbedded in the article:
