Las Vegas Approves 68 Miles of Underground Transportation Tunnels
August 3rd, 2023Via: Las Vegas Review Journal:
The Elon Musk-owned Boring Company plans to build out an underground transportation system in Las Vegas featuring 81 stations and 68 miles of tunnels, after an expansion approval.
The Las Vegas City Council on Wednesday unanimously approved the Boring Co.’s plan to expand the system in the city’s jurisdiction, mainly downtown.
Which generates more pollution? A propane forklift or an electric forklift? I don’t know, but always figured it’s similar; the former from combustion engines, the later from coal et al power plants miles away. And which one would you use in a cold storage warehouse? Electric, or you’ll suffocate.
Electric vehicles are absolutely amazing – ramp up issues AND cost notwithstanding. But I always wondered what is driving an industrial push that masses cannot afford. Maybe there are more tunnels than I imagine.
If it doesn’t work out, there’ll be some nice non-flooding tunnels for Las Vegas’ subterranean dwellers to move into:

@dale: Another option for warehouses is compressed air drive.
Veronica Swift has an interesting substack on various tunnels used by secret societies: https://liftingthewool.substack.com/p/tunnels
Remember all the internet fuss over the construction going on at, around and under the Denver airport, the blue horse statue, the huge painting of children in various ethnic dress as well as nazi uniform, weird symbols, etc? https://www.flydenver.com/great_hall/denfiles
Back then, I met a journalist who told me he’d seen part of a transportation tunnel system that ran all over — or under — the US. It was a popular alt news subject.
