    There was a 2008 tv series titled “The Last Enemy” that had NGO’s in the Middle East doing nefarious work for UK intelligence services, a pandemic spread from there to the UK by illegal immigrants, assassinations, and surveillance and control of the movements of everyone in the UK by electronic devices and censorship/blacklisting. It was a stunning preview, 14 years ago, of a lot of what we see happening now. A steamy love story was included to tie all these revelations together; I guess the prediction was that romantic love would still be alive, if thwarted, on this prison planet of the near future.
