How the Hell Can China Ship for Free to Your Door?

The problem is that it’s not just the garbage that he shows in the video.

An eBay grade NZ$1 USB cable costs NZ$10 at The Warehouse. Same cable. If I can buy that cable for NZ$1 from China-bay, why does it cost NZ$10 at The Warehouse? Why isn’t it NZ$2 or even NZ$4? Sure, I’d pay four times the China-bay price to be able to use it right away.

But it’s worse than that. I could buy that cable for NZ$1 at retail on China-bay. How much is The Warehouse paying for that cable in bulk? NZ 50 cents? Less?

Well, silly me. I noticed ridciulously low rates from China to Australia years ago and assumed the Chinese government subsidised freight.
