Nope, sorry, this is not the Universe talking. This is deliberate, and that is because this is Power rubbing our noses in the fact that they can commit whatever atrocities they want and know that they will never be held accountable. And the purpose of that is to demoralize us and drive us insane — literally insane — so that we will completely lose our ability to trust our own judgement; which in turn makes us extremely easy to manipulate.
Yes, the people who run the world are that evil.
