Dianne Feinstein, Symbol of the Worthless Beltway Democrat

September 23rd, 2007

I think enemy collaborator is a much more accurate description than enabler.

Via: Slate:

The standard excuse offered by many apologists for Bush-enabling Democrats — that they support the Bush agenda and capitulate to the right-wing noise machine due to political fear of being depicted as too liberal or “soft on terror” — is clearly inapplicable to many, if not most, of the enablers. California’s Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein provides a perfect case study for understanding why the Congress has done virtually nothing to oppose the most extreme Bush policies, while doing much actively to support it.

Feinstein looks like she has been resurrected from the tomb. Does human blood really flow in her veins?
As a politics and policy major back in 1989 (!)I learned of California – it USED to be the GREAT state in the USA that created public policies that were SO GOOD TO ALL that lived in that state, be it energy, health care, environment, you name it. You could follow the trajectory. Other states followed. NO MORE.
The Bush Brigade along with their electronic voting machines have turned California on its ear: the public policies coming out of California anymore should be titled: “Dancing with Dunces!” Refresh your memory: Governor Grey Davis was RECALLED – THROWN OUT OF OFFICE and this was in large measure due to the ENRON debacle and their manipulations of the ENERGY MARKET. And gee willizkers, has California built any new power plants since Grey Davis was impeached for all intents and purposes? Is California experiencing those strange and really weird rolling power blacks anymore? Or are we really so naive to think that all of the energy problems are now “fixed” because Grey Davis is gone? What a hoot. Feinstein is one of the Illuminati, Skull and Cross Bone types that will be in office in California til she says she is not. She could give two hoots about the “registered Democrats” who “voted” her into office, because I can imagine, they did not. The fix has been in for people of this sort for years, and they know it. They therefore, act accordingly – and with impunity, against any and all of the voters wishes. Geez, I wonder whether ANYONE even BOTHERS ANYMORE to review Feinstein’s financial disclosure statement. I wonder and quite frankly doubt it. With her husband as a person with interests in the Defense contracting industry, she should be RECUSING HERSELF from participating in related policy making decisions. And lord help me, she might even have a religious interest – you know, AIPAC?
