Big Brother, Big Business

June 3rd, 2007

Here’s a two hour CNBC piece about privacy, surveillance and the emerging biometric lockdown. Even though the situation presented here is grim, we know that it’s much worse.

If, however, you or someone you know is looking for a general, easy to understand presentation on these issues, and have about two hours to spare, this is pretty good. (The player allows you to fast forward through the commercials.)

Documentary was comprehensive and quite brash, BUT finished up with the usual vague call that if we don’t do something soon its too late. Sorry, it is too late. Government has been ‘outsourced’. Most CNBC viewers have no conception of how pervasive corporate control of government functions has become. So there must be some other reason for CNBC to show us many aspects of the surveillance state, perhaps just to build more all purpose fear in the population.

it’s hard for msnbc to cram any more fear between their news casts and their ‘doc block’, prison documentary marathons.
