“He spotted a triangular-shaped object measuring ‘about a mile in diameter’ in the sky, where it remained static for about half an hour”

September 30th, 2008

One of the greatest WTF moments in my life occurred when I stood before, and gazed upon, the Newgrange megalithic structure in County Meath, Ireland in 1996.

“What really happened on this old dirt?” was about the only thought running through my head on that chilly morning.

Anyway, reading that large UFOs are flying within the general vicinity of that area somehow makes more sense than any of the other news that I’ve been reading today.

Via: Irish Independent:

THE truth is out there — and if a senior garda, a Fianna Fail politician and a pilot are to be believed, aliens are keeping a close eye on us from above.

Dramatic eye-witness testimony was heard at a conference over the weekend which, delegates were told, provided “definitive” proof of recent UFO activity in the skies around north Dublin and Meath.

Footage, filmed on a camera phone at 10.35pm on August 3 near Dunboyne was also played and replayed to over 70 delegates who attended the fifth Irish International UFO conference in Carrick-on-Shannon.

The triangular shaped image, with lights at each point, which appeared to send a red laser-type light towards earth, drew gasps of amazement from the 70 or so delegates who attended the world premiere of the footage.

Unusual

A senior garda officer who was driving when he noticed the unusual light formation in the sky stopped to film it.

“There is no footage like this in the world. It is the most amazing and spectacular I have ever seen,” said Carl Nally, co-founder of UFO and Paranormal Research Ireland and joint author of ‘Conspiracy of Silence’.

Five days earlier, on July 29, an off-duty pilot who photographed lightning from Howth pier just after midnight later noticed what appeared to be a triangular-shaped object to the right of the lightning fork in the developed image.

And Fianna Fail Town Councillor in Trim, Jimmy Peppard, ran indoors for a camera on August 8 when he spotted a triangular-shaped object measuring “about a mile in diameter” in the sky, where it remained static for about half an hour.

“What we have here is sightings of three objects east, west and south-east of Dublin airport, each five days apart by reliable and trained observers and even since I have arrived here I have received another image from a pilot,” Mr Nally told the conference.

He later described the laser beam footage as the best footage on the planet and said it would be shown all over the world. “This is what the sceptics are crying out for. What all this footage has in common is that trained observers, honest people, took it. What better could you get than a senior garda, a politician and a pilot,” he said.

He added that he would not rule out speculation that increased UFO activity in the north Dublin and Meath areas was linked to the road construction works near Tara. “We cannot rule this out as a possibility. We are talking about a very ancient sacred place,” he said.

Ross Hemsworth, who presents a TV show on Sky which investigates the paranormal, said he would reserve judgment until he examined the footage more closely.

“There have been a lot of sightings in Ireland in a lot of strange places and the proximity to the digging of the motorway may have opened things up,” he said.

Delegates at the two-day event, organised by Betty Meyler, President of the UFO Society of Ireland, otherwise immersed themselves in talk of orbs, luminosity, crop circles, alien abductions and star children. And ex-oilfield executive Ian Crane warned of plans for a fake alien invasion to be staged at the 2012 Olympics in London by the terrorists behind 9/11 and other atrocities, in their quest for global control.

For organiser Betty Meyler the conference provided an opportunity for like-minded people to come together and make friends. “Before, people were afraid to report sightings because they did not want to be thought of as ‘cuckoo’ but that has changed now,” she said.

    Kevin,
Thank you for posting this article. It also is about the most reasonable, logical (as Dr. Spock would say) explanation for the bizarre behavior of “world financial officials.”

Rather than think of these sightings (which I’m sure the powers that be have known of for quite some time) with the spirit akin to awe and wonder, and, yes of course some fear, these dorks want us to bail them out so that they can hide in their bunkers with their ill gotten “gains.” While I am a human too, the nature of the human beast never ceases to amaze me. Uh, and duh. D’ya the alien presence is going to care about stock prices?
I like to think that just like in the movie Contact, the other beings in the universe have picked up on Earth’s distress signals. Whether you believe in alien life or not, the electronic signature from planet Earth has most likely been going haywire for the last few years.
One of the websites I read, “Matthews Messages” concerns a mother who channels her son. (Yea verily, I can’t believe I putting this on a post to Cryptogon). I’ve believed in psychic abilities for most of life (just why is another long story in its entirety and is related to my sisters death). Anyways, Matthew said the ship would be sighted October 14th.
Oh yes. Just in time for the election. And who dya think will use nukes to kill the “beast?” Or who would use this historic, unheard of event to cultivate universal relations? You be the judge.
Myself, I’m going to start polishing up Dad’s good old telescope (since the Hubble just recently and oh so conveniently “just” broke down).
Maybe this is why the National Guard is being deployed in the U.S. I imagine that in addition to 401K plans losing their value, there is going to be a whole new form of “sticker” shock that sends the world into the collective “I need to shit my pants” mode.

So when’s that film gonna show up on youtube? I want to SEE.

    Lots o’ triangle sightings:

  3. Eileen says:

A, Pookie, long time no talk to.
I want to See it too.
I for one don’t think we’re going to have to wait for seeing this on youtube. I for one, and call me a kook, cookie monster or whatever, I think this one might even make the BBC. katie Couric. Whatever.
I looked at the link you sent. I for one think that the vibe is going to come through clean and true. We mean you no harm. WE are answering your distress signals.
I dunno why I Feel that.
UFO’s have been around since well, 1930 or so, at least according to my dear ole departed Dad
(1910-1989). For those looking they’ve probably been around a lot longer than that.
I dunno why I find this so funny. There is nothing in my world view training and conditioning that could possibly train me for a rational response to alien contact.
I dunno. Maybe that is why I am laughing. Life, I guess as I’ve known it has never ceased to amaze me. Good stuff, really bad stuff, but aliens? This is honey. This is the icing on the cake. Oh so delectable because it nothing that the programmers have prepared us for.
I say, ENJOY every minute of it.

So far my comments (7, 15-17) at https://cryptogon.com/?p=3073 (US Astronaut Edgar Mitchell: “Aliens exist…”) already express my variant, perhaps heretical in the opinions of some, perspective on this one but I felt they were worth putting out on display again.

I, like everyone else here, will be watching for developments with great interest.

Unless, according to the lizard men theories of fellows like Icke, the new arrivals just happen to be reinforcements. And we are but the icing on the cake.

As Pook said, I am waiting to SEE for myself — not that it means much in the age of Digital CGI Wonder. I’ll definitely be looking for a PIXAR and/or Lucasfilm logo on any images of said vessel made public… =)

Ultimately, like Jacques Vallee, I’ve become far more comfortable with the idea that the various craft — including the now-ubiquitous black triangles — are being steered by our own dark siders, yet another act in the tragic/co(s)mic opera we call life here on Planet Earth.

The timing of said appearance and the “conclusive” film said to exist is certainly enough to tweak the needle on the “Skept-O-Matic” well into the black.

Ol’ Willy had it right all along, like Nostradamus and the B-52’s, a few centuries ahead of their time: All the world IS a stage, and we are all being played like the instruments we are. By the time someone has actually figured out what’s happening right now, we will all have shuffled the coil and have our answers — or not.

I feel obliged to point out that stealth aircraft are all roughly triangular and usually black. These two elements (shape and color) are integral in making such aircraft “stealthy” to begin with. Most of the known stealth aircraft are ancient in technological time, so it makes sense that whatever they’re really using, that the public doesn’t know about, is leaps and bounds beyond what is “known”.

I seriously doubt that aliens who managed to tackle all the technical difficulties in simply getting here from another star would require stealth style technology similar to our own, or even aerodynamic design, or even a craft at all for that matter.

Even if I am wrong and there is more than just secret military aircraft involved here, I think it would still be far more likely for such technology to be of terrestrial, if ancient, origin.

In any case, I find it interesting that these UFO posts always seem to solicit a flurry of activity, even here. I wonder if it is a desperation for something beyond ourselves to “save us” because we feel so helpless and hopeless. I hope not, because we should probably be relying on ourselves… just in case.

Interesting note: Hopis native americans are joining with other indigenous peoples in Arizona in April 2009 to perform a sacred welcoming ceremony for our space ancestors. They have been awaiting the arrival of our star brothers for quite some time, and for some reason they apparently believe that now is the time!

  8. MBerger47 says:

They may look like UFO’s, but they may not contain ET’s. There is evidence that the US gov’t and the Russians both have been reverse engineering alien anti-gravity crafts since Roswell in the mid-40’s.

    For certain, it isn’t a 747.

  9. Loveandlight says:

I guess I don’t place as much importance on the existence of extraterrestrials as many “fringe” or “spiritual” types do. If spacefaring civilizations were to make contact with us, it may be good for us spiritually because, as a species, feeling as though we are effectively alone doesn’t really help us. However, at the same time, it could encourage ecological irresponsibility. One thing I would certainly appreciate is that it would be one of the few things that would wipe the self-satisfied smirk off the faces of the young know-it-all atheist-skeptics at Reddit.com. On the other hand, it would also rather punch a pretty big hole in my own quasi-primitivist intellectual sympathies.

But one thing we must remember if ET’s were to make contact with us is that we would know next to nothing about them, and who knows what their agenda might be. And if they are “grey” aliens or the insectoid beings that supposedly control the greys, I’ll certainly be wary of their decision to make themselves known!

  10. Peregrino says:

The right brain unquestioningly perceives. The left brain puts the perception into a context intelligible to the perceiver. In the past these phenomena were fairies or gods; in the future they might be flying toasters; today they are high-tech spacecraft. Read your Plato. Human beings by several measures are merely watching reflections. It will be a long time before any of us are in a position to understand anything directly. These phenomena that do little more than reflect our own current cultural conceits are one proof of that.

  11. pookie says:

Eileen, my dear, you’re much too pollyanna for me. I’m the ultimate doomer, and upon further reflection (and fortified by two glasses of a cheap Aussie shiraz), I’ll say I’m in the Miraculix camp and feel no good vibes vis-a-vis black triangles and more frequent UFO sightings hitting the mainstream. I’m thinking perhaps it’s the black hats (both Russian and Merkin) who snagged Viktor Schauberger’s vortex dynamics and implosion tech. Interesting story told by his son Walter about their trip to Texas in 1958 — Victor had to hand over all his notebooks and research and then he apparently dies within a week.

No reason why we can’t be ogling several simultaneous phenomena competing for our bugged-out eyes: aliens visiting our planet; our future selves taking time-travel vacations; various black hat organizations utilizing tech they’ve gleaned from Roswell or Schauberger. Whoah.

  12. Eileen says:

@james – This is very interesting. I went to my sister’s land in La Veta, Colorado this summer and was there during the Pleadies (sp) meteor shower. So beautiful. The awesome stars.
Anyways, I bought a book re the legends of the
Why-a-toy-ya valley. Actually spelled something like Huatolla (book is at mom’s). The Indian legends are that a “Stone Ship came from the sky and taught the people to eat meat, and moved them to next stage of their evolution” The legend says that people came from the sky in a Stone Ship and still live in Ship Rock, Co.
The legend is one of a major migration from the north to the south because of drought etc. Too long to mention here. It is the same legend I learned of in Mexico during a visit there about ten years ago.A major migration. The people were to stop when they saw the eagle with a snake in its claws. That is the current flag of Mexico.

    @Miraculix
I don’t discount that these ship sightings might be the military industrial complex taken to new heights (heh heh). But take a look at GAO reports on our “star wars” results and it is a pitiful sight. I for one read these reports, and combined with my own knowledge it indicates to me that the U.S. couldn’t shoot a big dildoe flying our way before it ejaculated even if we tried. In short, I have no faith and absolutely do not believe that the military industrial complex has devised vehicles of the nature described in the article Kevin posted.
    IN ANY CASE.
For myself, I am going to keep a better watch on the sky. And, keep my camera at ready.
The confluence of legend, psychic speak, and current sightings, are enough for me to keep on looking at the stars.
I don’t think the presence of the alien, no matter how many people confirm it or see it will change the world we live in much at all (unless it is so blatant that it can’t be ignored). But it will be a good thing I think, if the alien reveals itself.
Maybe instead of the alien, it should be called the intergallatic neighbor.
Could we actually welcome them with peace?
    I doubt it.
People these days are more likely wanting to kill their investment managers.
Let alone welcome some starship troopers.
Keep on looking at the stars is all I have left to say on the subject.

  13. Bilda Betterberger says:

I second that notion about Viktor Schauberger. Those German scientists brought over to the U.S.some 60 years ago in Project Paperclip certainly knew a thing or two about engineering. I’m sure the eggheads in labcoats out at the desert military bases could’ve put together some amazing things by now.

  14. Loveandlight says:

The whole thing could be a prelude to the establishment of a one-world corporate dictatorship. After all, the one thing that could make the people of the world receptive to a planetary government would be the undeniable realization that we have extraterrestrial neighbors who could start treating us the way the USA and the UK treat the so-called Third World.
