Khan Academy Offers Javascript Tutorials

I don’t know about calling this, “Computer Science,” but it might be useful for Cryptogon homeschoolers out there who are teaching kids about computers.

In case you’re curious about what a no-joke introduction to computer science looks like, or if you have older children, see: MIT: Introduction to Computer Science and Programming.

We’re releasing a completely new platform that targets people with no programming knowledge and gives them an engaging and fun environment to learn in.

Over everything else we wanted to emphasize creativity and exploration and make it approachable for people of all ages, including young kids.

    Another option is http://racket-lang.org. It is what I am using with my daughter. She is only six so we just play around drawing simple geometry and things like that.

    I think that it is a really great environment for children to explore programming.
