UK: Security Cameras to Watch the Speed Cameras

January 26th, 2007

Via: BBC:

Speed cameras in the Scottish Borders may soon be monitored by security cameras to protect them from vandals.

It is among the measures being considered by the Lothian and Borders Safety Camera Partnership.

There have been seven camera attacks in just three years, with machines being set alight, damaged or pulled over.

Cameras on the A68, A1 and the A697 in Berwickshire have all been targeted prompting the partnership to look at ways of increasing security.

Not that crazy, knowing the area.

I’d commented before that parts of the UK are under the empire only in name — The Highlands, and Islay region of Scotland are openly hostile to England and will be happy to go on independently (as they essentially are now) as england continues to crumble. No surprises here.

It gets easier, even, as Ireland continues its economic boom. The Scots, Isle of Man, Wales… all the celtic nations, really, have a far deeper sense of history than most americans.

This is too funny. All they gotta do now is destroy the security cameras that watch the speed cameras. That’s it, simple as that 🙂
