Pentagon Can’t Demonstrate Funds Are Being Spent as Intended

The Pentagon, which previously warned that reliable military spending figures could not be produced until 2017, has discovered that financial ledgers are in worse shape than expected and it may need to spend a billion dollars more to make DOD’s financial accounting credible, according to defense officials and congressional sources.
Experts say the Pentagon’s accounting has never been reliable. A lengthy effort by the military services to implement new financial systems at a cost so far of more than $6 billion has itself been plagued by overruns and delays, senior defense officials say. The Government Accountability Office said in a report last month that although the services can now fully track incoming appropriations, they still cannot demonstrate their funds are being spent as they should.
You’d have to be pretty thick between the ears if you didn’t realize the shadow people who don’t even really work at the Pentagon aren’t having a party at the tax payers expense. What a charade.
I wish I had the balls and could lead a civilian militia to have an “Occupy the Pentagon,” demonstration. Take arms albeit peacefully against that great big hexagon because that place is SOOOO flucked up.
There isn’t a HOOVER vacuum cleaner big enough to suck out all of the corruption there. It is against some law that walks with a lame gait that all books should be balanced, but the Pentagon continues to get a pass, no matter, year, after year after year. And that is a crime. And the lame dix who purpotedly work for their constituents? Why is this ignored?
I know I am preaching to the choir here, but my goddess!! Something or someone has to put a big fire out in the Pentagon. The lying, cheating, stealing and muurdering has to be brought to a halt, And those responible for all of the crimes that go on, day after day, must surely know there is a rope waiting for their necks. So why do they continue? It is a mystery.
