Rawsome Farm Buying Club Raided Again

August 4th, 2011

Look at all of the agencies associated with this nonsense!?

Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office:

Agencies taking part in the ongoing investigation include the U.S. Food and Drug Administration; the California Franchise Tax Board; the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Milk and Dairy Food Safety Branch and the department’s Division of Measurement Standards; the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office; the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health; the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, the Ventura County Department of Public Health; the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.

Via: Weston A. Price Foundation:

Public Health Officials today descended once again on a buying club, that specializes in raw foods. Club organizer, James Stewart was arrested at his home, the locks to his personal residence were changed, his papers, money and computer seized. At the same time, farmer Sharon Palmer and Weston A. Price Foundation volunteer chapter leader Victoria Bloch Coulter were arrested. All three were charged with Section 182A-Conspiracy to Commit a Crime. Bond for James Stewart was set at $123,000. Bail for Bloch is recommended at $60,000. Bail for Palmer is recommended at $121,000.

All this, in a state where raw milk is perfectly legal to sell, and even available through retail stores. The issue seems to be the club’s use of a herdshare or boarding agreement for its dairy goats.

So, when are the Feds going to start calling this ongoing socio-economic campaign exactly what it is: the “War On Food”?

They’re treating people raising GOATS and producing finished products like raw MILK and CHEESE in a collective arrangement for others like drug dealers on an episode of COPS.

Verbal outrage is tolerated, but even the THOUGHT of striking back at this sort of corporo-fascist state terrorism is no longer even an active part of the modern discussion.

Sadly, such physical resistance is dead before it’s even truly born in the Digital Era.

In a physical sense, it’s no longer even practically possible, what with the steady paramilitarization of local law enforcement and full-time monitoring and infiltration of any/all grass roots organizations with even the slightest social traction.

Sociologically, resistance truly is futile if you desire any sort of financial stability vis-a-vis a steady income from an employer. The psychological distance between “freedom fighter” and “terrorist” is a crack so thin you can’t slide a sheet of paper between the jagged edges.

Emotionally, all this bottled rage is eventually going to have to go somewhere. So the bread & circuses keep coming for millions of malnourished “moderns” living their Habitrail(tm) lives.

A harvest of life, a harvest of death; the cannon fodder is raised for slaughter. The vultures and vampires perch atop their great piles of steaming carrion, the ennobled revenue streams of their corporate fiefdoms guarded by the trustiest of their appointed dukes & earls.

ANY socio-economic entity capable of genuinely empowering the individual, potentially capable of showing them a way out of the banked-oval maze on which we run the global rat race must be crushed quickly and without mercy.

Left vs. Right is wrong. It’s a poorly-designed simulacrum of limited hangouts and selective amnesia aimed solely at keeping you “in the game” at all costs.

Human vs. inhuman (corporate) is where the real power game takes place. Where the serious socio-economic leverage is applied.

And as Kevin has often stated here at Cryptogon, no subject is more polarizing and radicalizing — and therefore political — than food.

Wake up and smell the artificial rose-scented plastic flowers people. Get to know your local dirt and others in your area who do. Learn how to grow your own. Soon. Or suffer the consequences.

Stunning reply – the passion, the venom barely under the skin here. Loved this comment – thank you ! I recently wrote (actual postal mail!) a five pager t the head of the FDA after reviewing a couple of decades of their pogrom against individuals and companies. I don’t expect it will even make it past the mail room – anything hand addressed is probably incinerated at 3000 degrees in case of anthrax. As we all know, this situation, when blended with Peak Oil, financial austerity and all thge other Black Swans, means that we will be descending back down the ‘progress’ ladder. New Zealand suits me fine – you-all need to find your place to make your peace.
