  1. I kept waiting for the “bird” to fly into the side of the building and miraculously explode the whole building and reduce it to dust.

Naturally, the usual PR hoo-bob about the miracle of flight will accompany this video into the mainstream.

However, know right now that what you are actually witnessing is the proud unveiling of the next generation of surveillance drone. Not only will it serve in every nook and cranny where the economic & resource interests of empire require an eye in the sky. It is also camouflaged well enough for regular domestic use. Ba-da-bing.

Sadly, the most likely “unforeseeen” knock-on effect of such a device is that once their presence is expected, anyone who truly does not want to be observed will down any large avians in view between the horizons with a long range rifle.

This tragic state of affairs will be followed in short order by the usual press-driven inanity:

“Those terrorists, they hate birds for their freedoms…”

The history of aviation is military to the very core, despite all the “wonder of flight” propaganda floated around civil aviation by industrial combines since the Wright Bros. so generously offered their snazzy new invention to the Air Force over a century ago.

If it flies and it’s a game changer, you can pretty much count on uncovering DARPA money in the development process. That’s the way it’s done.

If we ever defeat the psychopaths and grow up, we will be capable of such cool stuff.

Although eventually this technology will filter down to the “hobbyist” or toy level, no doubt Washington will declare it a potential “weapon of mass destruction” and ban it like machine guns, bombs, etc. What the Government is really afraid of is the public using these devices to find out what mischief our own leaders are actually perpetrating.
