U.S. officials said on Thursday they are discussing with Egyptians a variety of ways of moving toward an orderly transition of power in Egypt, which may lead to a speedier departure of President Hosni Mubarak.

The New York Times reported the Obama administration is talking with Egyptian officials a proposal for Mubarak to resign immediately.

The White House would not confirm the Times report but said discussions have been under way with Egyptians in an attempt to resolve the 10-day crisis in Egypt.

Hmmm. I guess it must be the billions of dollars pending U.S. contracts for warfare technology that has Hilary Clinton and Obama on the phone with Mubarak. Otherwise, what the fluck does ANYONE in the U.S. have rights to say anything about what is going on in Egypt? Sounds like what the Obama did with General Motors. Obama to GM: we are taking over your company before you fail and yawn, by the way, we will be buying you out and dictating the terms or your not allowed failure with U.S. taxpayer dollars. Everyone here just yawned. Okay, we just sort of can’t get how we got screwed and the banks got bailed out because they were lying, flucking, cheating , btards. But yawn re Gm, What are we going to be able to do about it anyways.
Now its U.S. to Egypt on the phone- are you still going to buy our bombers? Or what? Democracy! U.S. to Egypt – we don’t care how many people protest; how long they do it; why they are doing it, or how many people are killed. But Mubarak, you are OUT! How the hell are we in the U.S. to say that to another sovereign nation?
This makes NO SENSE to me.
I don’t imagine the people protesting in Egypt give one flucking thing about defense contract obligations with the U.S. They want affordable food, water, shelter. And these morons in the U.S. think that they can fulfill these wants by installing another (acceptable to them) tin pot dictator?
Good luck Morons. The planets are NOT on your side. Best you be hunkering down and hiding your tail between your legs in a deep meditation that prays to regain your center. Anyone out there in U.S of A govermment remember what it is to be centered in your being?
Thought so. May the Goddess bless us all. She knows why we are weeping, wailing, and protesting.
Humanity does not need the intervention or the interpretive “skills” of the U.S. government to “get through” the dissent of the Middle East. AT this time, I see the U.S. as the instigator. NOT the Mediator, or that they should have any say in this at all.
Aquarius is all about the people. Good luck Hilary. I for one think every thing you do is for naught and you will be overwhelmed by the people.
It is in deep of winter here in the Northland. Candlemas. It is always on the NEW Moon when the seeds of the future are sown.
This one (tonight and into tomorrow is especially important). And as Tiny Tim would say, God/dess bless us. Each and every one.

Exactly! And if you’re trying to argue that point with someone, simply turn the equation around and it becomes blindingly obvious to them. Of course the Egyptians (or Iraqis or Afghans etc etc) have no business coming over here and forcing us to run things in a way that suits them. But, but, freedom and democracy…and stuff…oh fuck it.

    Two Words: mu-Barak Obama

Don’t worry, folks, we’ll get a torturing thief in office there, that’s our job!

The Imperial argument is: “history has shown that our Torturing Thief Murderer leaders are always better than their Torturing Thief Murderer leaders.” (Oh, and, we’re willing to torture and kill you to prove it.)

Maybe we’ll be greeted as liberators?

    Riiiiiiiiight.
