As Wall Street chief executive officers flock to the World Economic Forum, they’ll be breathing a sigh of relief along with the Swiss mountain air: There are no panels on compensation or redesigning financial regulation.

After spending much of last year’s meeting defending the industry and debating proposed rules, bankers plan to focus on wooing clients and winning business, according to executives at three Wall Street companies, who spoke anonymously because they weren’t authorized to comment publicly.

    It is exactly that sort of hubris which will destroy them all. To where will the “international financiers” run the next time there is a holocaust ?

    I had to try hard… very, very hard to not throw a brick through my monitor while reading that. I am sure that amongst the millions of disenfranchised, impoverished, former middle class are a lot of people with their jaws clenched, just wishing they had access to a 10-megaton device … or the guts to do what the Tunisians did, the Egyptians are doing, and what more will likely do soon.

    Greed is simply disgusting to watch.
