    If there is something identifiable as ‘The Establishment’ in Britain, it is the Council of the Ditchley Foundation.

    I would never expect the Guardian to harm the interests of this establishment. Alan Rusbridger is a member.

    a pattern of trivialisation of the cables had already emerged. now we have evidence that the Guardian was actively shielding corrupt companies. WL response over coming months should be interesting…
