  1. Dennis says:

Become the cosmic saviour we all need by using the internet (via our government-approved news service)!

The mention of helping cure diseases as well as the obvious took it well beyond that. (A shorter version I saw had been hijacked by alien adorers, and flashed something about Zeta Reticuli, supposed home of the ‘Greys’.)

What struck this conspiracy theorist most is how the practical issues of alien space-travel necessitating either FTL (faster than light) craft or very long travel times are possibly dispensed with and in such a way that, should an alien visitation event occur publicly and these things end up being more than some cleverly contrived illusion, i.e. extra-dimensional rather than extra-terrestrial, their seemingly and actual supernatural abilities to pop in and out of reality are explained as due to their superior (and inaccessible to scrutiny?) technologies.

I liked the tongue-in-cheek comment I saw on a UFO website about this: “We have English accents”
    🙂
