Killing Each Taliban Soldier Costs $50 Million?

October 6th, 2010

There are, however, a few metrics by which “victory” for the U.S. in Afghanistan may be measured.

First of all, the fact that mayhem continues is a victory for the corporations that profit from the absurd war-related contracts.

There’s the unknown billions of heroin related dollars that are generated from covert operations in Afghanistan. The transformation of Afghanistan into a narcostate is a victory for black money operators.

Ultimately, victory will mean that Afghanistan becomes pacified in a manner that facilities effortless corporate rape. The purpose of the U.S. military is to tie the victim down. Then the people in the suits step into the room…

The Runaway General

Profits.

The Pentagon will not tell the public what it costs to locate, target and kill a single Taliban soldier because the price-tag is so scandalously high that it makes the Taliban appear to be Super-Soldiers. As set out in this article, the estimated cost to kill each Taliban is as high as $100 million, with a conservative estimate being $50 million. A public discussion should be taking place in the United States regarding whether the Taliban have become too expensive an enemy to defeat.

There will be no victory in Afghanistan until the government delivers what the boss wants: a pipeline across Afghanistan from the Caspian Sea oil fields.

Recent reporting by military/intelligence sources indicate there only a couple of hundred actual, dedicated Taliban or Al Qaeda, (“According to U.S. intelligence estimates, there are currently about 100 al-Qaeda fighters in Afghanistan, as well as “several hundred” in Pakistan and, so the latest reports tell us, a similar number in Yemen…” http://www.truth-out.org/666-1-the-us-military-al-qaeda-and-a-war-futility56078 ) so the rest of these guys are similar to Cousin Billy and Cousin Clem getting AK’s from Uncle Festus cuz the Fed’s killed Brother Joe Bob and hole-in’ up in the mountains and plinkin’ off the G-men whenever they come up into the kill-zone…Pretty sorry stats and a shame the US christo-fascists can’t or won’t recognize the game being played here…10 years of war against people who use beat-up Toyota SUVs, motorcycles and donkeys against the most powerful, technologically advanced army in the world, and it still isn’t over??? Given the war crimes already committed, it seems like just unleashing some super-virus that attacks only people of Middle Eastern descent would be the next logical step…I wonder what they are waiting for?

this is the crux, imo. the total surreality of this whole thing from start to finish. watching it (11 september 2001) happen in real time late at night on tv/web from the other side of the planet. the reaction. the wars. the mainstream media “debates” of the merits of said wars, ad infinitum. just so surreal. all of it. reality suspended. indefinitely. in (almost) every country. whoa. this is surely de-evolution, or at least the last days of a dying empire. it’s almost as if They are trying to see just how blatant and outrageous they can be without provoking a meaningful backlash. no one with any significant power will challenge their barefaced fictions, mass murders, torture networks. i suppose one could put Their actions down to hubris. but why does everyone else go along with it? either way, the exponential nature of systemic collapse (entropy) will put an end to a lot of this shit sooner than most people assume.
