Ninth Human Foot Washes Ashore in the Pacific Northwest

September 8th, 2010

I think I’ve mentioned this phenomenon before, but in case I haven’t…

Via: Vancouver Sun:

A human foot washed up on a Washington State island Friday morning, raising the tally of feet found on beaches in the Pacific Northwest since 2007 to a total of nine.

A tourist found the foot while walking along a beach on the east side of Whidbey Island around 11:15 a.m., said Island County Detective Ed Wallace.

“It’s a right foot,” Wallace said. “Based on the size, it’s either a female or a juvenile.”

Based on the decomposition of the foot, officials estimated it has been in the water for less than two months. There are no missing persons cases in the county that match the foot, Wallace said. They will reach out to surrounding areas to try to match the foot with a missing persons case, he added.

The foot was not wearing a sock or a shoe, he added.

“It was just a foot.”

The great thing about feet is you can get about twelve inches out of each one.

Interesting. It says they are mostly men. In different regional cases, both Gary Ridgway and Willy Pickton (who put bodies of victims from downtown Vancouver into pork sausages he sold) had been previously picked up by police when women they were violently attacking escaped. http://missingwomen.blogspot.com/2006/02/horror-of-piggys-palace.html

I have been reading about these feet appearances in this area for awhile now via various news sources; it does make you wonder the source of the feet, and why only feet? Where is the rest of the body, and if bodies are being dismembered, you would think other parts would be washing up as well…maybe there is a slave camp nearby and this dismemberment keeps the slaves from making a ‘run’ for it…haha! A little ‘grave’ humor there….finally you would think these feet wouldn’t even make landfall, that sea critters would be gobbling them up fast and furious-like….
