I just dumped cable and a land line. I also went with an independent(so far) internet provider. What a difference!
It’s like waking from a dream.

We decided that we odn’t need any television in my new appartement. I don’t miss it at all.

@jvurke6000 I inherited a house (so to speak) with a very large antennae on it. I’d been paying $70 or more for cable service for YEARS. Holy crap. Bought a digital converter box. Cancelled the $70 buck service. Uh, I turn the TV on to look at the local weather. It’s free. Also get about 30 channels or more digital.
I sort of miss the frenzied hyped up Weather Channel stuff. Now I look on line at NOAH. I don’t miss any of the cable stuff. Jon Stewart reruns are available on line. Just wish I hadn’t dropped Earthlink for Verizon.

How about it. Why pay for 300 channels of crap just to watch 5.
I already depend on the net for better news. Also, the digital antenna gets less, but better stations. Much better for news and weather.
