World Stocks in Meltdown Over U.S. Economy Fears
August 1st, 2007Via: Yahoo / AFP:
European and Asian stock markets plummeted Wednesday, mirroring heavy losses the previous day in New York, on mounting fears that weakness in the US housing sector could infect the world economy.
What, no comments on this story? Are Cryptogoners getting bored with the constant warnings of imminent economic collapse?
As far as the much discussed “U.S. housing sector weakness” is concerned, from what I can tell they are still putting up new houses as fast as they can build them in much of the U.S.; its the existing houses that are falling in value by the minute. Which is why it sucks to be stuck with an old house.
