Police Issued QR Codes to Enter Parts of Paris This Summer

May 14th, 2024

Via: Metro:

The capital of France– Paris – will be split into zones this summer, with anyone wanting to enter certain areas required to show a pass on their phone.

Special measures will be in place throughout the city as part of increased security around the Olympic Games, which start in July.

Anyone wishing to enter certain zones, including residents, will have to apply for a special Pass Jeux (games pass) on a platform run by police.

It mostly applies to people driving, but even pedestrians will need to show a QR code to enter an area called the ‘grey zone’ around the River Seine in the centre, where the opening ceremony will take place.

The codes will be checked at access points along the entrance to each zone, manned by officers.

Chat GPT-4o: OpenAI’s New Realtime Multimodal Model

May 13th, 2024

A few initial thoughts…

This will make the individual profiling and surveillance that has been done by search engines for decades seem trivial.

OpenAI almost certainly wants this to be free for everyone in order to gather up as much personal and training data as possible.

OpenAI is probably able to review each of these sessions in order to make changes to how the system behaves. This means that the sessions could be made available to government and law enforcement agencies.

Workers who are about to be outsourced are often asked to train the people who will replace them. That’s the role of users here, except the replacement workers won’t be human.

Cubic Millimetre of Brain Mapped in Spectacular Detail

May 13th, 2024

Via: Nature:

Researchers have mapped a tiny piece of the human brain in astonishing detail. The resulting cell atlas, which was described today in Science1 and is available online, reveals new patterns of connections between brain cells called neurons, as well as cells that wrap around themselves to form knots, and pairs of neurons that are almost mirror images of each other.

The 3D map covers a volume of about one cubic millimetre, one-millionth of a whole brain, and contains roughly 57,000 cells and 150 million synapses — the connections between neurons. It incorporates a colossal 1.4 petabytes of data. “It’s a little bit humbling,” says Viren Jain, a neuroscientist at Google in Mountain View, California, and a co-author of the paper. “How are we ever going to really come to terms with all this complexity?”

Autonomous F-16 Fighters Are ‘Roughly Even’ With Human Pilots Said Air Force Chief

May 13th, 2024

Via: The National Interest:

The future loyal wingmen of the United States Air Force are inching closer to becoming a reality, and more importantly, the artificial intelligence (AI) controlled aircraft could be on track to be as good as any human pilot. That was the assessment from Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall, who recently took flight in an autonomously-controlled X62A VISTA (Variable In-flight Simulation Test Aircraft), a modified F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Kendall’s flight at Edwards Air Force Base (AFB), California, on May 2 came just weeks after the air service announced that an autonomously piloted F-16 Fighting Falcon had taken part in a series of simulated dogfights with a manned fighter. According to Kendall, during his time in the cockpit of the autonomous aircraft, the AI was able to maneuver the fighter and could simulate an “engagement” against a manned F-16, piloted by an aviator with 2,000 to 3,000 hours of experience.

Speaking at the Ash Carter Exchange conference in Washington, DC, the air secretary suggested, “It was roughly an even fight. But against a less experienced pilot, the AI, the automation would have performed better.”

Naomi Wolf: ‘If Europe Does Not Wake Up, You Will All Be Dead’

May 13th, 2024

I recently had dinner with someone (in her 40s) who was very nearly killed by the Covid vaccine. She thinks her blood clots and heart attack were just bad luck, like all of the other horrific health outcomes for her vaxed and boosted family members.

After emergency surgery and a couple of stents, she survived. She is now on statins for the rest of her life and eating what amounts to a vegan diet but with some fish. She has become obese on this diet due to all of the carbs and still experiences pain around her heart.

She made dinner and it was full of tofu. My children picked out the tofu. My wife and I ate small amounts, just to get through the ordeal with as little friction as possible.

“Why don’t they like tofu?” she asked.

I looked at her briefly, thinking about how I could spend the next three hours trying to bring a touch of sanity to the situation. This would have involved frightening this person’s children and severing the relationship (the person is relative who lives in a different country) only to harden her opinion that my wife and I believe disinformation and quackery, despite the coincidental lack of deaths or disastrous medical episodes in our unvaxed household.

Or, I could simply let this person go to vaccine heaven thinking she had done the right thing.

I said something like, “We mostly eat what we produce, so that’s what they’re used to.” This is technically not a lie.

When trying to help people who have fallen for this scam, you can forget a logical presentation of overwhelming evidence. I don’t know if anything can be done. I have been friends with alcoholics who could not be helped and died as a result of their addiction. What we’re seeing with victims of the Covid cult reminds me a lot of those too-far-gone alcoholics I’ve known.

Maybe there are people reading this who have dealt with cult deprogramming or other profoundly destructive mental situations and can offer some suggestions.

Apple Reportedly Near Deal To Infuse ChatGPT Into iPhones

May 13th, 2024

Via: ZeroHedge:

Apple is nearing a deal with Microsoft-backed OpenAI to infuse its large language model, known as ChatGPT, into the future iPhone operating system, according to Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the discussions.

The two sides have been finalizing terms for a pact to use ChatGPT features in Apple’s iOS 18, the next iPhone operating system, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the situation is private. Apple also has held talks with Alphabet Inc.’s Google about licensing that company’s Gemini chatbot. Those discussions haven’t led to an agreement, but are ongoing.

Prenatal Exposure to COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine BNT162b2 Induces Autism-Like Behaviors in Male Neonatal Rats

May 13th, 2024

Via: Neurochemical Research:

The COVID-19 pandemic catalyzed the swift development and distribution of mRNA vaccines, including BNT162b2, to address the disease. Concerns have arisen about the potential neurodevelopmental implications of these vaccines, especially in susceptible groups such as pregnant women and their offspring. This study aimed to investigate the gene expression of WNT, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels, specific cytokines, m-TOR expression, neuropathology, and autism-related neurobehavioral outcomes in a rat model. Pregnant rats received the COVID-19 mRNA BNT162b2 vaccine during gestation. Subsequent evaluations on male and female offspring included autism-like behaviors, neuronal counts, and motor performance. Molecular techniques were applied to quantify WNT and m-TOR gene expressions, BDNF levels, and specific cytokines in brain tissue samples. The findings were then contextualized within the extant literature to identify potential mechanisms. Our findings reveal that the mRNA BNT162b2 vaccine significantly alters WNT gene expression and BDNF levels in both male and female rats, suggesting a profound impact on key neurodevelopmental pathways. Notably, male rats exhibited pronounced autism-like behaviors, characterized by a marked reduction in social interaction and repetitive patterns of behavior. Furthermore, there was a substantial decrease in neuronal counts in critical brain regions, indicating potential neurodegeneration or altered neurodevelopment. Male rats also demonstrated impaired motor performance, evidenced by reduced coordination and agility.

California: $73 Billion Deficit

May 13th, 2024

What does it mean when even the Jackasses are fleeing California?

The part to pay close attention to happens at 8:08, “Marking the days on… my calendar, so I don’t have to pay California state taxes”:

Via: ZeroHedge:

In the course of two years, California has turned a $100 billion surplus into a $73 billion deficit, forcing governor Gavin Newson (D) to propose painful (token) spending cuts on Friday while announcing his revised state budget.
