‘Britons must work harder if the country is to compete with China and India’

I didn’t watch the piece, but one of my filters found this comment by Guardian reader, DivineColours:

Britons must work harder if the country is to compete with China and India.

Oh my aching sides.

Currently under development is a robot which can work a sewing machine.

Pretty soon the garment industry will be returning to the west but alas there will be fewer jobs for Americans, Europeans or Chinese.

The end of the working classes due to the rise of the machines is the Elephant in the room but as far as some people are concerned it might as well be hiding behind the sofa.

The Fox News “Talking Points” a few years from now…

*Humans will have to work harder if they are to compete with robots and Artificial Intelligence-equipped computers. But, we will never achieve this unless we remove the welfare programs that make humans too lazy to compete with machines.*
