Pope Failed to Defrock an American Priest Who Molested Hundreds of Deaf Boys

The sex abuse scandal enveloping the Catholic Church moved closer to Pope Benedict XVI today with revelations that in the 1990s the then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger failed to defrock an American priest who molested hundreds of deaf boys, despite receiving letters from a number of American bishops pleading with him to act.
Internal correspondence from bishops in Wisconsin directly to Cardinal Ratzinger, warning him and other top Vatican officials that failure to act could embarrass the church, have been unearthed as part of a lawsuit, according to The New York Times.
The case, against the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, involves the Reverend Lawrence Murphy, who worked at the St John’s School for the Deaf in St Francis, Wisconsin, from 1950 to 1974, starting as a teacher and rising to director.
He allegedly molested up to 200 pupils, preying on his victims in their dormitories, on class excursions and even at his mother’s country house.
Disturbing, and it looks like it is only going to get worse. I don’t go many other places to read the news other than Cryptogon, but I read astrology news, and Cliff High reports. Something is going to go down big this year re the Catholic church.

I for one had traumas from going to first grade in the Catholic school my Mom sent me to when I was 4.5 years old. I did not forgive her for sending me there until I could tell her about it as an adult. I was definitely traumatized by the events that occured there. Hopefully, the nuns did not molest me and its not underground in my memory. But yoi, those were some mean bitches.

I told my dad about this. He doesn’t understand computers or startup companies at all, but he was savagely beaten as part of his strict Catholic upbringing.
“By the time I was 14, the beatings stopped.”
“How did you get them to stop beating you?” I asked.
“I let Mother Superior know that someone was going to die if she hit me with that stick again, and it wasn’t going to be me.”
Maybe in his heart of hearts, after much prayer and soul searching and long walks hand in hand with his personal savior, the Rat doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with it.
The Rat is not worried.
He knows that Hell is a figment of fear and imagination conjured up by the Papacy long ago.
And now, when the shit is hitting the proverbial fan…..he’s probably more worried about his Karma than whether the Catholic Church will survive this one.
Yes, I think this time the Pope will walk the perp line to save his own soul. Cause he knows most of it is a crock of utter shit. And he also knows what karma is and that the only way out of this for him now is right action – right action is called Dharma.
And friends, the UTTER DISMAY or OUTRIGHT VIOLENCE of those who have believed in “everything that comes out of the mouth of the Catholic church” MIGHT EVEN SCARE ME.
